About Focus Learning
Focus Learning is an after school and weekend learning centre in North York offering classes and private tutoring for kids ages 5-17. We offer enrichment classes to help kids succeed in school and develop new interests. We specialize in writing classes and tutoring, mental math programs, kids robotics and computer programming, chess and other STEAM subjects (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math). Our experienced OCT teachers provide private tutoring and instruction in classes that helps all kids realize their potential.
When you join our Focus Learning community, you have a support system of caring teachers and education specialists to guide you and your kids through elementary, middle, and high school. Students who progress through our reading and writing programs quickly surpass their classmates not only in test scores, but also in their love of learning and literacy. Likewise, digital natives, kids who were born digital, can develop new skills and interests in the technology field when they come for our computer programming or robotics classes. At Focus Learning, teachers give kids the tools and skills to reach their full potential. We celebrate all learning styles and interests to help kids see the power in being unique, intelligent, and motivated to learn.
Our variety of classes and private tutoring options ensures your child will be engaged, encouraged and challenged while at our learning centre in North York. We teach kids to trust in the process of learning, and see progress and growth within that process. Our certified teachers develop a plan for helping all kids progress within their small group classes and/or one-on-one tutoring. From essay writing, to developing problem solving and mental math skills, to learning to build a new robot or design a website, all kids will learn to love learning new things and developing new skills.
Even when school is out for summer, winter, PA Days or March break holidays, kids will find fun while they are learning at Focus Learning’s Summer Camp, Winter Camp, and March Break Camp. With specialized camps for elementary, middle, and high school kids, our North York learning centre provides a safe and fun school holiday for everyone.
